The Detroit Area Woodturners is a club focused on woodturning. Based in the Detroit area of Michigan. Our meetings are usually on the third Sunday of each month from 1-4:30pm Please feel free to attend a meeting, see what we offer.

 Starkweather Gallery Show
Greetings DAW members
We are announcing the kick- off for the Starkweather Art Center / DAW members art gallery show scheduled for June 2025.

All DAW members are invited to showcase your talents and participate in an art gallery setting.
The theme of this show will include tree wood harvested from the Starkweather Art Center in Romeo Michigan.

Our very own Chuck Lobaito volunteered his time and sawmill services to supply the club with air dried (3 years) timber for use in this show. Link to guidelines  
and entry application with detailed information.

​Please submit $25.00 entry fee prior to January 15, 2025 to receive your piece of wood at the January meeting (payable to Detroit Area Woodturners)
